Tracy Wong is a designer fascinated by the intersections of everyday life, social challenges, and creative expression. She explores how visual and spatial design can transform ordinary actions into meaningful experiences that connect people and communities.
From participatory exhibitions to placemaking projects, Tracy creates opportunities for collaboration, play, and co-creation, rather than prescribing fixed solutions. Her work bridges social innovation, research, and experimental design, using design as a tool for collective change. By translating complex ideas into engaging, tangible experiences, she helps communities discover new ways to interact, reflect, and shape their shared environment.

FOR THE SAKE OF PLAYING
Social Experiment, 2024
This project aims to explore the sounds from human behaviour in the Dome of State Library Victoria. The Dome, potentially servicing as ‘play space’, can offer various opportunities for human innate playfulness, answering our innate need to explore, discover, experiment and even test our mental and physical boundaries. We are proposing participatory design as a medium, the participants invited to decode the graphic patterns involving a prototyping to visualise and test ideas quickly. Encouraging spontaneous and undirected playfulness, the design practice delves into the random sounds findings on play with ludic space interventions.
