HATCH aims to revitalise ‘Made in Hong Kong’ by bringing local brands together in a co-working factory space; HATCH employs women from underprivileged families and provides them with career building opportunities, family-friendly flexible working hours and childcare support; HATCH aims to be a platform for these talents to broaden their vision, job skills and career paths, thereby creating ladders out of poverty for them and their families.
This project is going to make the engagement between HATCH and community thereby enhancing the visitors’ experience through exhibition and products made by HATCH talents. There are both external and internal promotion in a package for HATCH, including HATCH tag and dream wall. It reimagines HATCH as more than just a factory working space and provides a warmth of humanity into the talents’ workplace.
The operation diagram explains the relationship between HATCH and other stakeholders, also showing its operations. Besides, with six categories of production, HATCH talents are able to produce their product for business uses.
The HATCH talents are not only workers, but they are also designer. The HATCH tag including: story card, name card and sticker. It shows their identity building for further reach out and the ability to notice the involvement of HATCH and talent's effort. To enhance the relationship between HATCH, talents and customers, promotion items through the products thereby increasing the sense of belonging for talents in HATCH.
Dream wall which is the story collection of the talents. Demonstrating the profile picture drawn by talent’s kid, it shows the image of mother in the eye of kid.
For mechanism, all the wood boards are rotatable which allow the audience to read both side of the story and profile picture of talents. The dream wall also allows visitors to leave a message about their dreams and creates a social interaction between HATCH and community members.
