Tracy Wong is a designer fascinated by the intersections of everyday life, social challenges, and creative expression. She explores how visual and spatial design can transform ordinary actions into meaningful experiences that connect people and communities.
From participatory exhibitions to placemaking projects, Tracy creates opportunities for collaboration, play, and co-creation, rather than prescribing fixed solutions. Her work bridges social innovation, research, and experimental design, using design as a tool for collective change. By translating complex ideas into engaging, tangible experiences, she helps communities discover new ways to interact, reflect, and shape their shared environment.

SHINE IN CENTRAL
Publication Design l Research Based, 2019
As people pass by Theatre Lane in Central, they might encounter the weathered faces of the remaining shoe-shiners. These individuals, who make their living through hard work, embody a rich historical legacy and display deeply touching human qualities. With only six shoe-shiners left, the decline of this trade has diminished its public resonance. Highlighting the lesser-known aspects of the shoe-shining industry is crucial for raising public awareness and ensuring the preservation of this cultural heritage.
